Whats In A Name?

When your trying to come up with a name for a site/blog you really have to pick one that has to set the stage for what your all about and What you will be doing. Now it’s not that I wasn’t happy with my first name on my blog/site. It’s just my rants were getting far and few in between and my blog/site has morphed into so much much more now. It is finally what I really wanted it to become when I first started this blog two months ago and that was a place where I could share my interests, likes,tastes and opinions with all of you and start some decent discussions with anyone that wanted to share as well.

So having said all of that the name My Little Rants no longer really suites the site/blog so as of yesterday I changed the name of the site/blog to Outside Your Little Happy Box. As for a little explanation on why I chose that name and you older readers most already know this but for you new readers I’ll give you guys the lowdown. I don’t blog about whats going on in reality TV( as I really don’t watch TV a whole hell of a lot) or academy award winning movies (unless it falls into a lord of the rings type category and horror films usually don’t win at the academy awards) and I won’t blog about the mishaps or the happenings of popular celebs( because first I don’t care and second off there is way too many other things that capture my interests) as these are things I’m not passionate about.

However what I am passionate about and what I’ll continue to  talk and post things about  are things  some are afraid to talk about , things society deems out of the norm, music and bands that aren’t on your popular TV and Radio stations or the top billboard listings , beauty  other then what society deems beautiful or hot/sexy(as seen with my alternative beauties of the day posts) and art and photography that is amazing but embraces the darker side of things. I guess to warp in all in one nice little blanket for you this site/blog will deal with things that are outside some peoples little happy box.  🙂 (I can’t believe it actually worked out that way hahahahahah)

On a side note here, I really wanted to have this posted yesterday but between me being under the weather for the past few days and my computer acting up on me the only post I really could squeak out was the Alternative Beauty Of the Day. Have no fear though today there will be plenty of updates.

Blog Spotlight: Dark Planet….

Hey guys remember awhile back when I posted a spotlight on Dark Planet the Youtube account that dealt with fetish/alternative culture ? Well if not or your a new reader of my blog you can check out the post here which features their first episode.Of course for you new readers that post spawned off an interesting discussion of which can be found here if you haven’t seen them before.

As a side note it’s not only just that it’s an interesting post for you guys to check out. But in the world of on-line blogging pointing out some one else’s blog and hard work is the best way for other people to find out about  something that might interest them and it could be something they might not have been able to find on their own. I’m not what the world wants me to be.I won’t conform to be a  part of the pretty picture it paints on what and who you should be. I enjoy the darker slice of the pie. I won’t be led like a sheep by conflicting false faced voices. I embrace my true self and won’t hide behind a mask to appease the masses . I live life on my own terms. I like to live life in the gray areas right outside your little happy box. Come step out some time you never know you might like what you see.
